The classic 12 year old blend from Dewars, The Ancestor goes through a unique Double Aged process – so named in reference to the additional six month marriage the whisky enjoys in oak after the initial 12 year maturation and blending of carefully selected 12 year old malt and grain Scotch whiskies. The result produces aromas of tropical fruit, creamy malt, toasted barley, almond and caramel, with flavours of barley malt, buttered toast, light honey, vanilla, caramel, spices and sultanas. Rich, well rounded and perfectly balanced.
